Further defining our ARAL INTEREST!

Dear friends,

Stimulated by the many ideas which popped up during the course in Evora this post invites for a conversation on the interests which could be addressed within ARALIG. Some of the ideas may already have been treated in the process of forming ARALIG prior to the course in Evora where I as a participant, like others, was introduced first time to the interest group. Hopefully this discussion can contribute to this already existing sense of direction.

I would like to suggest that the outcome of this conversation could be a small briefing note which can support the management of activities in the future, especially if the financial support hoped for is provided for the running of ARALIG.

For now the floor is pretty open and I warmly invite you all to share with us ideas and suggestions on what is and could be addressed within the ARALIG meeting place.

This could comprise for example:
- Views on what is your individual and our perceived common interests as members of the AR AL Interest Group!;
- Which fora for discussion and meetings exist and could be created in the future?
- Which topics are of particular relevance to address?
- What kind of synergies we envision possible to achieve?
- How we can assist in re-educating the academia in the path towards more transformative research practices?
- etc etc etc

I propose to keep the discussion as informal and relaxed as possible! I will as the conversation progresses seek to structure the blog according to the questions and issues raised. I suggest we can also use skype and video-conferencing, together with the email-list, when appropriate. Pls let know of any ideas you may have about this process of online dialogue to Mikaela (e-list manager), and/or my-self.

Pls remember, this online forum is what we make of it! Use it to connect with like-mined people, for coaching in your research work, as an outlet for ideas and frustrations with tight structures, as a source of inspiration et al. The first comment is the start, which in turn represents the most vital step towards establishment of a fruitful dialogue. Therefore, upon reading this, go ahead as you please and make your first comment, and we are on track!

To a wonderful summer, and a good online dialogue until we meet again face to face! In Alnarp or in Hungary! :)

Welcome to ARALIG discussion forum

Dear all,

Thanks for a great week in Evora!

Until ARALIG can set up a managed website, this blog may function as an online meeting place for us with an interest in action research and action learning.

Do you have any ideas and comments on the process of the online dialogue hosted here at the blog, or otherwise, pls inform us here!

cheers,
